The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has begun probing a case against Ibrahim Shahid, a magistrate at the Kulhudhuffushi Magistrate Court.

In a statement on Monday, the commission confirmed the mater, adding that a committee has been established to look into the case regarding Shahid.

The investigative committee decided to probe the case as they believe Shahid has failed at fulfilling his responsibilities as a magistrate of the court.

This comes at a time JSC has also announced that they are seeking to appoint new magistrates and chief magistrates to eight courts, including the Kulhudhuffushi Magistrate Court.
