Supreme Court Justice Abdullah Areef

Supreme Court Justice Abdullah Areef has been appointed as President of Judicial Services Commission (JSC).

RaajjeMV understands the appointment was finalized on Monday night in the Commission’s meeting, held to elect a President.

Areef was appointed to the position after fellow Justice Ali Hameed was removed from JSC.

At the time of his dismissal, Justice Ali Hameed was admitted in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital receiving treatment.

Justice Ali Hameed was appointed to the Commission on January 20,2015.
