Universal Enterprises has donated two PCR testing machines to the government, to strengthen Covid-19 testing capacity.

While the documents related to the machines were presented to Health Minister Abdulla Ameen at a ceremony held at the Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) on Tuesday night, the ministry thanked the company for the “timely contribution”.

RaajjeMV understands that all required equipment to run the machines, were also presented.

Universal Enterprises had, back in June, donated 20,200 Covid-19 testing kits to the government.

Universal operates the largest range of resorts in the country and is among the many contributors towards the Maldivian government’s efforts to curb the spread of the outbreak.
