Islamic Foundation active in Bangladesh in relief operations
Donation handed over by Islamic Foundation
Islamic Foundation of the Maldives has donated MVR 1 million to the Rohingya relief fund.
The funds were handed over by Islamic Foundation President Ibrahim Fauzy, former Islamic Minister Dr. Abdul Majeed Abdul Baaree and Secretary General Ibrahim Nazim. The trio are currently in Bangladesh as part of the relief operations.
The funds were accepted by Islamic Relief World Wide’s Head of Humanitarian Program for Bangladesh. Ghulam Mu’thasim Billah.
In addition to the funds, clothing was provided to the Rohingya Muslims currently residing in the refugee camps.
Islamic Foundation departed Maldives for the relief efforts on October 2nd and is scheduled to return back on Monday.
