Two Covid-19 patients placed on ventilators

Tree Top Hospital

Two Covid-19 patients have been placed on ventilators.

The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) revealed this during Saturday night’s Covid-19 press briefing.

Health Protection Agency (HPA)’s epidemiologist, Dr. Ibrahim Afzal said that one these patients were being treated at Tree Top Hospital while the other was at Hulhumalé Medical Facility.

Afzal said that three patients are being treated at Tree Top Hospital, and eight at the Hulhumalé facility.

While Maldives has confirmed a total of 2,187 cases, there are currently 389 active cases. Eight people have succumbed to the virus.
