Maldives fell back by 11 spots on the FIFA Coca-Cola rankings, with India rising by 31 spots.

The rankings released on Thursday, shows Maldives at the 151^st spot, with India at the 101^st spot.

This is the biggest achievement for India in the nation’s recent footballing history. In 1996, India reached the 94^th spot on the ranking.

Maldives is ranked 27^th in the region. With the rise in rankings, India had also risen to the 11^th in the Asia region.

Argentina lost the top spot this year, after being beaten by Brazil. Germany claimed the third spot on the global rankings.
