Maldivian national football team has risen five ranks in the FIFA World Ranking.

Maldives is now at the 140^th position, but still remained second in the SAARC region. India still claimed the first spot in the SAARC region. India was ranked 130^th this year, having fallen one spot from the previous year’s ranking.

Nepal claimed 173^rd in rankings, having risen two spots in the table. With this, Nepal is the third nation in the SAARC region. Bhutan came in fourth in the region, having claimed 177^th in the ranking. Bangladesh came in 190^th. Sri Lanka is at the seventh for the SAARC region, having been placed 196^th global rankings. Pakistan came in last for the region and is placed at 198^th by FIFA.

Argentina is number one on the global rankings, followed by Brazil and Germany in second and third places respectively.
