Kyrgyzstan beat Maldives in three straight sets

Maldives lost to Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday, in the first match of the Asian Central Zone Men’s Volleyball Championship.

Kyrgyzstan beat the host team in three straight sets in the first match of the championship, held at the indoor court at the Social Center.

The first set ended 25-22, despite the Maldives team holding on to the lead for most of the set.

The second set went over the 25-mark, with both teams playing a strong game. It ended 33-31.

With an advantage, Kyrgyzstan came out strong in the third set, and took the set 25-20.

In addition to Maldives and Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Nepal are competing in this year’s tournament. All teams will face each other in round robin format, with the team finishing on top automatically qualifying for the final.

Turkmenistan beat Nepal in three sets on Thursday evening. Maldives’ next match is with Nepal, on Friday.
