Women’s national volleyball coach Ahmed Adheel has said that the Maldivian team’s performance against Nepal was good. He said the team was lacking in experience that comes from international matches.
Maldives lost the first team against Nepal from three straight set. While there were critical mistakes, the team had served impressive attacks.
Adheel said the opposing team have more experience, adding they were able to hold onto game against Nepal, as they had practiced a lot. He added the team was more than aware of the disadvantage they were in due to lack of experience.
Maldives will face Iran today, who had won their match against Nepal by three sets.
Having lost the match against Nepal, Maldives had lost all hope of qualifying for the tournament. Only the first placed team will move to the next round of the tournament.
