The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) has revealed that there are 87 confirmed Covid-19 cases in the Maldives that are unrelated to any of the previous clusters.
Joining the routinely press briefing at the center on Saturday night, the task force’s spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Aziz revealed that 1,170 out of the currently active cases belong to a number of clusters identified in the Greater Malé Region.
Out of the confirmed cases thus far, 87 are unrelated to any of these previous clusters, Mabrook added.
The most number of cases in one cluster have been recorded in the Covid Village cluster thus far, the number sits at 125.
Providing further details regarding confirmed cases, Epidemiologist at the Health Protection Agency (HPA), Dr. Ibrahim Afzal revealed that cases being confirmed of recent are being maintained at the same level.
