A Bangladeshi worker has been stabbed to death in Guraidhoo island of Thaa atoll.
Guraidhoo island council confirmed this to RaajjeMV.
Noting that the man’s body was found near a land allocated for agricultural purposes, an official from the council said that he was stabbed 'two to three times'.
The official said that his body was discovered on Wednesday night by another migrant worker, and that the matter was immediately reported to police.
Further, the council said that he was pronounced dead on arrival at the island’s health center.
While the police is yet to comment on the case, RaajjeMV has learnt the officers are active in the area.
