The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) has revealed that samples had been taken from 20 individuals who consulted at the flu clinic within 24-hours on Sunday, for Covid-19 testing.
Speaking at the press briefing on Sunday night, the Covid-19 task force’s spokesperson, Mohamed Mabrook Aziz revealed that a total of 27 flu clinics are being operated across different regions currently.
He added that a total of 215 individuals with flu symptoms had consulted at these clinics within the 24-hours on Sunday out of which samples were taken for Covid-19 testing, from 20 individuals.
Since the pandemic reached the Maldives, authorities established these special flu clinics across a scatter of regions including the one established in Senahiya, a Travel Flu Clinic in Malé, one for expatriates in Hulhumalé as well as online flu clinics.
The public has been urged by authorities to seek medical attention and consult at these flu clinics as quickly as possible if flu symptoms are discovered.
