Covid-19: Dhamana Veshi limits opening hours for services

Urban primary healthcare center, Dhamana Veshi has announced the decision to limit the number of days when their services will be made available, starting next week.
This comes as a precautionary measure against the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, which emerged in the Maldives on 7 March. The Director General of Public Health, Maimoona Aboobakuru subsequently announced a state of public health emergency across the entire island nation on 12 March.
Since then, the government has been taking several restrictive measures and Dhamana Veshi Center’s measures come in accordance with these actions.
As such, the center will be providing services three days a week, starting the upcoming week.
The center will be providing vaccination services for children under 18 years of age from 10am to 1pm on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. During this time, the center will also provide flu prescriptions and vaccinations for flu.
Those who wish to acquire vaccinations for flu will be required to bring a doctor’s prescription along with the vaccination doses. A fee of MVR 10 will be taken for locals and MVR 20 from expatriates for vaccination services.
Individuals who have flu symptoms such as coughing and sneezing are urged to visit the flu clinic.
Other services provided at the center have been temporarily halted and the center will be providing updates regarding the services as changes are made.
Further, the center has urged those who wish to acquire services at Dhamana Veshi to bring their identity cards and the vaccination cards for children.
