Two people received treatment for injuries attained following an accident in Fuvahmulah City on Monday night.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the accident occurred when a speeding motorcycle lost control and crashed on the road, at around 08:24pm.
Injured in the accident were the 37-year-old rider who had severe bruises on his face and a 19-year-old woman who sustained several bruises in several parts of her body.
Officers found that the rider did not have a license to operate vehicles on him.
Police has since launched further investigations into the case.
