A 27-year-old man, injured in a motorcycle accident earlier on Friday, has succumbed to his injuries.
Mohamed Rishfan crashed into another motorcycle at around 17:30 in Gan of Laamu Atoll, the Maldives Police Service (MPS) said.
The Gan Regional Hospital said that Rishfan had died when he reached the hospital, and the other rider is currently getting treatment.
The MPS said it is investigating the case.
