The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has disclosed that a burglary was attempted at a currency exchange store.

The burglary was attempted late on Monday night at a currency exchange store on Bodu Thakurufaanu magu located near the Bank of Maldives Branch in Henveiru ward.

According to the MPS, they received reports of damage to the store window by two individuals on a motorbike.

They further revealed that the matter is currently under investigation but no arrests have been made so far.
