Fire breaks out in Maafannu, controlled quickly

A fire broke it in Maafannu Hivvaruge on Sunday evening
Rescue officers have controlled the fire that erupted in Maafannu Hivvaruge, on Carnation Road on Sunday evening.
Media official of Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has confirmed that the fire was controlled not long after it broke out.
MNDF received a report of the fire at around 6:15 pm on Sunday, and the fire was controlled by 6:45 pm.
While no one was injured in the incident, the house was heavily damaged. Residents were moved elsewhere, temporarily.
In addition to MNDF firemen, officers from Maldives Police Service (MPS) had assisted in controlling the fire as well.
An investigation is underway into the cause of the fire.
