Police in action to save the kidnap victim
A kidnapped expatriate was rescued last night, and five expatriates were arrested in relation to the crime.
According to the Maldives Police Service, they received a report about the crime happening on the third floor of a labor quarter situated in Maafanu Ward and rescued the kidnap victim. They arrested five expatriates and are currently under investigation.
The Maldives police service did not share any further information. They disclosed all the suspects involved were from Bangladesh.
