The police say that officers have arrested two people in the incident

An expatriate carrying a large quantity of cash has been mugged in capital city Malé.

The man told RaajjeMV that he was threatened by a group of men around 07:21 pm on Tuesday and that he had lost over MVR 300,000.

The police say that officers have arrested two people in the incident, including a 22-year-old expatriate.

They said that the incident occurred near Dharubaaruge, to the outer region of the city.
