Maldives national carrom team departs for India-Maldives Test Series
 
Objective of this series is to prepare the national team for the ICF cup scheduled for December 2020.

The Maldivian national carrom team has departed for Meemu atoll, to participate in India-Maldives Test Series.

Carom association explained the objective of this series is to prepare the national team for the ICF cup scheduled for December 2020. Following this series, the first Presidents League is expected to be held at the end of 2019 at Vaavu atoll.

World champion SriLankan players will also be participating in the Caromm Presidents League, alongside India and Maldives.

Both the senior and junior national Indian carom teams will be partaking in the India-Maldives Test Series that will be held from 6th-9th October at M. Muli. This competition has been ongoing since 2016 under an initiative taken by the Maldives.

The Maldives is currently 3rd place in the world carrom rankings, whereas India is last year’s defending world cup champion.
