AVC Central Zone Qualification Cup to be held in Maldives
Training was set for Monday, but moved due to venue issues

National Volleyball team will begin training for the upcoming AVC Central Zone Qualification Cup on Tuesday.

This year’s AVC Central Zone Qualification Cup will be held in the Maldives, at the Youth Center in the capital Male’ City, from March 22 to March 30.

While the team was to start practice on Monday, they were forced to postpone it, as they were unable to get the indoor court.

President of the Volleyball Association of Maldives (VAM), Mohamed Latheef said that due to the issue, the training will start on Tuesday, with a session scheduled for 7 am.

The Youth Center indoor stadium is currently being used by the Maldives Basketball Association (MBA), which is holding its third MBA Cup.

While the team is to start training under the new head coach, Mohamed Sharaf’s leadership, VAM is currently working on arranging a special training camp for the team.

This is the first time such a key tournament is being held in the Maldives.
