Allied Insurance has launched its Green for Good initiative at a dive event in Ihuru Island Resort.
The initiative was launched by Banyan Tree Group’s Sustainability Director and Banyan Green Global Foundation’s Coordinating Director Steve Newman.
As part of the initiative, Allied Insurance introduced environment friendly bags and bottles, and launched initiatives to reduce office paper usage and make offices more environment friendly.
At the event, Allied also gifted the environment friendly items to Steve Newman.
Allied’s Managing Director Shafaz commended the divers for participating in the 10th anniversary of the diving event and said that the Green for Good initiative is a long-term plan which will greatly benefit the citizens, nation, and the environment.
Allied Insurance also has the Premium for Good, which is a CSR initiative aimed at achieving UN’s 2030 sustainable development global goals, mainly, quality education and gender equality. As part of this iniative, Allied launched the Malahini Sandy Mission, school digitization project, and established the Maalhos community development hub center with Ooredoo and UNDP.
