Regional domestic commercial ports will be built: Planning Minister
The ports will allow the transport of frozen products, food, and construction material

Minister of Planning and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam has said that regional domestic commercial ports will be built in the designated areas.
The Minister said this while speaking at the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) Councilors Conference on Friday.
Minister Aslam said the ports will allow the transport of frozen products, food, and construction material and that it will be connected to every other domestic commercial port.
He also said that the government will establish central ferry terminals in every region and ferry terminals in every island, as well as build inland transport systems and introduce public buses to the islands that need it.
