Maldives’ first match in the Senior Men’s Central Zone Volleyball Championship is against Kyrgyzstan.
The championship will begin on Monday in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu.
The Maldives team’s first match will be against Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday and the second match will be against Nepal on Wednesday.
Group A consists of Maldives, Kyrgyzstan, and Nepal.
The Maldives team prepared for the championship by competing in three friendly matches with the Sri Lankan team.
While Maldives had lost the three friendly matches, the team had shown an exemplary performance and a marked improvement in their play.
The Maldives volleyball had also participated in the recent Indian Ocean Island Games and trained in Serbia.
