Two individuals have been arrested for harboring Shaim Abdulla after he went missing from state custody.
In a tweet on Thursday night, Police Commissioner Mohamed Hameed confirmed that they have arrested two individuals who aided the 14-year-old evade authorities.
The commissioner did not reveal any details.
The police began searching for Shaim after he went missing from the children’s shelter on June 18 and found him on July 1.
Gender Minister Shidhatha Shareef has said that Shaim had fled from the children’s shelter and that they are working to provide better protection for children under state custody.
