CEO criticizes Dharumavantha Hospital design
The lobby is uncovered and will become unusable during high winds, especially during the rainy season
There have been other issues he plans to solve including fixing the radiation leak in the radiology equipment

Ibrahim Saleem, the CEO of Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), has said that the design of Dharumavantha Hospital’s lobby has neglected to take the weather into account.

In a special interview with RaajjeTV, CEO Saleem said that the lobby is uncovered and will become unusable during high winds, especially during the rainy season.

CEO Saleem said that they are now changing the design and placing windows and that there have been other issues he plans to solve including fixing the radiation leak in the radiology equipment.

Dharumavantha Hospital is Maldives’ tallest and most expensive building, built by Singaporean company Chun Hwa for USD 143 million.

Some have described the 25-story building as a symbolic representation of the corruption in President Abdulla Yameen’s administration.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has also described the issues in the building, despite its enormous cost, including equipment being unable to fit inside the departments.
