A man has been humiliated in public after allegedly stealing a water bottle case on Saturday night.
The police media officer stated that they received report of people catching an 18-year-old stealing a water bottle case from a store in Maafannu ward at 8:30pm.

After reports of similar incidents, the police service urged the public not to take matters into their own hands when dealing with suspects.
Late last month, a 19-year-old wasstripped and forced to walk on the streets of Hulhumale’for allegedly sexually assaulting two children. He was later arrested.
