A woman who was seriously injured in a road accident in Th. Thimarafushi in March has passed away.
52-year-old Zuleykha Abdul Ghani passed away while being treated in Sri Lanka early Tuesday morning.
She was struck by a speeding van near the Thimarafushi Airport on March 13.
She suffered three skull fractures and internal bleeding in the brain and was in a coma after the accident. She was first placed on ventilator support at the ICU of ADK Hospital.
The driver’s license has been revoked and police have filed the case at the Prosecutor General’s branch in Thaa atoll after the investigation.
