Haa Alifu Atoll Hospital to be developed into a tertiary one
MDP's parliamentary campaign agenda promises to build at least one tertiary hospital in every atoll

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has announced plans to develop Haa Alifu atoll Hospital, in Dhihdhoo island, into a tertiary one.

The president traveled to Dhihdhoo on his first visit since assuming office, on Sunday, to take part in the campaign rally for Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)'s parliamentary candidate for the constituency.

Speaking at the rally on Sunday night, Solih noted his pledge to improve the atoll hospital's quality, and added that it will be developed to tertiary standards.

While the president made this announcement, MDP's parliamentary campaign agenda promises to build at least one tertiary hospital in every atoll.

President Solih also highlighted that they are working to build a passenger jetty in the island, and added that it has already been included in the state budget.

Further noting that people have been deprived of their basic rights for years, the president said that this is worrying.

In addition, Solih emphasized that his administration came with a number of pledges to the people, to better their lives, and noted that they should not have to wait five years to see the changes.
