Ballot boxes
Elections Commission (EC) has begun distributing ballot boxes for the parliamentary election on April 6.
On Friday, EC stated that they have begun distributing the boxes and other resources to the islands.
A total of 501 ballot boxes are to be placed in the Maldives and abroad for the parliamentary election.
EC stated that the boxes are being transported with the help of police officers and that all the polling stations will receive the necessary items before April 2.
386 candidates are vying for 87 seats in the parliamentary election, and 264,589 are eligible to vote.
