Islamic Ministry begins distributing Mus’haf Maldeef
Every citizen between ages of 15 and 45 will receive a copy each

Islamic Ministry has begun to distribute copies of “Mus’haf Maldeef” to civil employees and employees of state owned corporations.

The distribution was started in a ceremony held in Ministry of Islamic Affairs on Tuesday and attended by senior Government officials.

Speaking in the ceremony, Islamic Minister Dr. Ahmed Ziyad said the “Mus’haf Maldeef” project was carried out successfully with the partnership of many state owned corporations. He said the project was a costly endeavor, with many companies assisting in the project.

Minister Ziyad said that under the “Mus’haf Maldeef” initiative, around 100,000 copies have been printed and brought to Malé. He added that the second phase of the project will begin soon.

The first 100,000 copies of “Mus’haf Maldeef” will be distributed to all citizens between the ages of 15 and 45. Islamic Ministry says the copies will be distributed in Male’ and in the atolls under guidelines set by the Ministry.

“Mus’haf Maldeef” project was launched by the Government with the aim to provide a copy of the Quran, specially printed for the Maldives by 2018.
