Hassan Latheef has begun his campaign drive for MDP Chairperson position in three islands of Thoddoo Constituency.

Hassan Latheef’s campaign team reported that campaign activities were held in Thoddoo Island and Rasdhoo Island on Tuesday morning, while campaign activities were held in Ukulhas island that night.

The activities were run parallel to Local Council Elections efforts as well. The Elections will be held in April.

Hassan Latheef has held campaign drives in GDh Atoll and had taken part in the MUO led meeting held in Raa Atoll.  He had also held campaign initiatives in selected islands in Noonu and Lhaviyani Atolls as well as door to door activities in Male’.

Hassan Latheef is the sole candidate contesting for the Chairperson seat. If elected, he had pledged to bring former President Mohamed Nasheed back to the Maldives for the 2018 elections.

Voting for the Chairperson slot will be held on Friday, February 10.
