Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC)’s oldest employee, and first ever Maldivian employee, Mohamed Shafiu has passed away at the age of 57.
Shafiu had been working at the public utility company since 1995.
MWSC stated that he was the first local employee to join the company and a company veteran who had been serving as the Customer Service Manager.

MWSC stated that it will raise the company flag at half-mast for three days, in remembrance of Shafiu.
