President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have left for Singapore on an unofficial trip.
They headed off on Wednesday evening and are scheduled to return on Saturday night, states the President’s Office.
President Solih’s first state visit was to India on December 16, where he met with senior Indian government officials and signed landmark deals.
On January 3, he travelled to Sri Lanka to participate in their Independence Day celebration as a guest of honour.
Before leaving to Singapore, President Solih requested his cabinet to help pass the bill to give more legal authority to the presidential commissions, which has been at a standstill in parliament.
