A 21-year-old has been injured in an accident on the Sinamalé Bridge highway on Saturday.

Police said that the accident was reported to them at around 2:15pm, and that the individual was immediately transferred to Hulhumalé Hospital for treatment.

According to reports, the young man is to have been driving at high speed when he suddenly lost control of the motorcycle.

Hulhumalé Hospital informed that the individual was taken there at around 2:50pm and that he is being treated at the hospital's emergency room.

He is to have suffered multiple injuries, including a head injury.
