Personal experience with attempting to start up a business will help him develop a suitable environment for businesses in the Maldives, says Economic Minister Fayyaz Ismail.
Minister Fayyaz told RaajjeTV on Wednesday night that he had failed at starting up a business and that he understands the challenges businesses in the Maldives face.
“Some of the criticism aimed at me say I am failed businessman, it is true. I have first-hand experience with challenges businesses in the Maldives face”, Fayyaz said.
Fayyaz said that the title of minister impresses him less than the capacity it provides for him to bring about meaningful change.
The minister said that it would cause him great discontent if he were to finish his tenure without building a better environment for businesses in the Maldives to operate in.
