Safwan serves as President Maumoon’s Personal Assistant

Maldives Police Service (MPS) has issued a search warrant for the Personal Assistant of former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.
Ahmed Safwan (38) is also a council member of ruling Progressive Party of Maldives.
An announcement by the Police stated that Safwan was wanted for questioning in connection to a case under investigation by the Economic Crime Department.
No details of the case has been made public.
