Two injured in the fatal motorcycle accident in Maamendhoo island of Gaaf Alif atoll on Monday night, have been brought to capital city Male’ for further treatment.

Villingili Hospital in-charge Dr. Waleed Moosa said that injured are 16-year-old Mohamed Athoof and 21-year-old Ibrahim Azmeel.

RaajjeMV understands that Azmeel’s condition is critical and was brought to Male' for treatment for serious leg injuries and to undergo a CT scan. Both were brought to the capital as Villingili Hospital is not equipped to treat them further.

The police received report of two motorcycles colliding near the island harbor at around 8:15 pm on Monday.

The third victim, 32-year-old Afzal Yasir, was dead-on-arrival at the hospital.
