Jumhooree Party founder and leader Qasim Ibrahim has on Sunday met with other members of his party’s leadership.

The party’s chief spokesperson, Ali Solih, said that the party’s senior members had discussed a number of key issues at the meeting, including ways to increase membership.

Solih said that the party is also working to develop and strengthen the party’s leadership and function.

Solih also said that ways in which to ensure unity with the Joint Opposition, the party’s coalition partners, had also been discussed.

In this regard, Solih said that the party is fully committed to upholding unity amongst its coalition partners.

Qasim, the party’s president Ali Waheed, the deputy vice president, deputy leaders of the party, advisory members, and parliamentarians aligned with the party – including Kaashidhoo constituency MP Faisal Naseem, Maldives’ vice president-elect – had participated in Sunday’s meeting.
