Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) says the hospital’s fertility center has provided services to 49 patients.

An official of the hospital said the center had been fully functional only for a three-day period starting from January 2nd to 4th.

Visiting doctors are currently providing fertility services in the hospital. Dr. Ashwini Shadhashiwan, a visiting doctor from India’s NU Hospital, had provided fertility services this month from last Saturday.

IGMH says the doctors will observe 25 patients on a daily basis from February 6th to 7th.

The Urorenal Fertility Center was opened on November 20 last year. IGMH says the center will provide treatment Kidney and Urinary System Disorders. As of now, fertility treatments are not covered under Aasanda insurance scheme.

The Hospital reports that 259 had registered for services from the center.
