Authorities have released Jumhooree Party (JP) leader Qasim Ibrahim’s passport after he was released on bail by the court on Monday.
Qasim has been living in self-exile in Germany after fleeing his prison conviction for attempted bribery.
High Court chief judge Shujau Usman released him after he presented MVR 70,000 as bail and Immigration later confirmed to RaajjeMV that his passport has been released as well.
Along with Qasim, the court on Monday released former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom and Dhiggaru MP Faris Maumoon.
