Maldivians need to be more vocal in denouncing corruption: Hussain Mohamed
The lawmaker said the Joint Opposition will continue to hold activities that will make such expression easier

Maldivian society as a whole need to be less tolerant of corruption and need to express it more vocally, says Mathiveri constituency MP Hussain Mohamed.

The lawmaker said this at a Joint Opposition rally at Rasdhoo island of Alif Alif atoll, adding that the Joint Opposition will continue to hold activities that will make such expression easier.

The lawmaker also called on those gathered at the rally to support the Joint Opposition’s single candidate, whom they said will be backed by all parties in the coalition.

He said that his decision to align himself with the opposition came as heavy news to his peers who are remain to be loyal to the government. In this regard, the lawmaker said that he cannot remain silent at the face of corruption and tyranny.
