The Feevah Island Council has expressed concern over the complete lack of progress on the construction of the island's new youth center, which has remained stalled since the foundation stone was laid.
In an update regarding the project's progress, the Feevah Island Council informed RaajjeTV that the foundation stone for the youth center was laid this past October.
However, the council noted that the government has failed to carry out any practical work on the project since the foundation-laying ceremony.
According to the council, the only work completed in the area so far is land clearing. Since then, no further progress has been made on the project to date.
In addition to the youth center, work on the island's park development project has also come to a complete standstill. The Feevah Island Council stated that relevant government authorities have failed to provide any adequate information regarding the reasons behind the suspension of these projects. The council described the ongoing delays as a significant obstacle to the island's overall development.
The Feevah Council has stated that the highest priority for the island's residents is the uninterrupted and timely progression of ongoing development projects. However, the Council noted growing public concern as several projects have come to a standstill without any clear explanation or information regarding their status.
Furthermore, following the recent acquisition of Fenaka Corporation by MTCC, the council emphasized that it is crucial for them to gain clarity on the status of the projects initially scheduled to be undertaken by Fenaka in Feevah.
