The body of the individual who died following a gas leak incident in Malé was handed over to the family on Sunday, without a post-mortem examination being conducted.
The victim of the incident in Dilkusha Goalhi has been identified as Zahidha Thaufeeq, a 51-year-old resident of Male'. She was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, and her body has since been kept at the mortuary.
When contacted by RaajjeTV for further details regarding the incident, a police media official stated that Zahidha's body has been released to her family without conducting a post-mortem examination. The official further noted that the decision to forgo a post-mortem was made following the initial investigation.
