Police suspend license of driver involved in Lamborghini rollover accident on the highway

Kamadhoo, following a high-speed accident involving a Lamborghini on the Sinamalé Bridge highway. Although the vehicle sustained extensive damage after the driver lost control, both occupants were discharged from medical care after being treated for non-serious injuries.

Police have suspended the driving license of the individual involved in a high-speed crash on the Sinamalé Bridge highway, where a Lamborghini lost control and suffered significant damage.
Police have identified the driver involved in the incident as Hassan Rifau, of Munich, B. Kamadhoo.
The police have reported that the accident occurred at approximately 08:42 on Friday morning, August 21, 2026.
The speeding car lost control and overturned after crashing into the poles supporting the solar panels on the highway. Police confirmed that, in addition to Hassan Rifau, a 13-year-old child was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Police have confirmed that while two individuals involved in the accident received treatment at Tree Top Hospital, neither sustained serious injuries. However, the car was damaged beyond repair in the incident.
Police stated that the car parts have now been handed over to the owner after investigators gathered the necessary information for the inquiry.
The accident has sparked widespread public concern. As many questioned whether action had been taken against the dangerous operation of such a high-powered, luxury vehicle in a residential area, police confirmed that Hassan Rifau’s driver's license has been suspended.
As the police continue their investigation into the matter, authorities have urged the public to prioritize road safety and strictly adhere to established speed limits.
