President Muizzu Urges the Spread of Truth
On the occasion of the 34th Writers' Day, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and the First Lady issued a message urging writers to uphold this year's theme, "Let’s be Trustworthy Writers," by prioritizing the dissemination of accurate information and promoting ideas that benefit the nation.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has extended his greetings on Writers' Day, urging Maldivian writers to champion the truth, maintain a respectful discourse, and disseminate constructive ideas that benefit the present and future of both the individual and society.
In a message shared on X to mark the Maldives' 34th Writers' Day, President Muizzu highlighted that Islam is a religion that encourages education, the dissemination of accurate information, and the advancement of literature. The President stated that Maldivian writers must be individuals of integrity who write in a manner that brings prosperity to the nation and makes the country proud.
On the occasion of the day, First Lady Sajidha Mohamed shared a message on X, extending her felicitations to all those working towards the advancement of Maldivian literature and writing.
The theme designated for this year's Writers' Day is "Let us be trustworthy writers!"
