Despair and distress are visible across the Maldives: Waheed
Speaking at an MDP protest, Dhidhdhoo Constituency President Waheed stated that the current administration's policies have left citizens in a state of despair and hardship. Highlighting the country's deteriorating condition, he asserted that a change in government is necessary as public confidence in the administration has eroded. Waheed further assured that the MDP remains steadfast in its commitment to securing the rights of the people and will not cease its efforts.

Abdulla Waheed, the President of the Dhidhdhoo constituency, has stated that a sense of despair and distress is currently visible across all corners of the Maldives.
During the "Employment Thursday" protest held by the MDP on Thursday night, Waheed leveled heavy criticism against President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s administration. He stated that the current government is marginalizing the public, adding that a sense of despair and distress is now visible across the country.
Noting that the Maldives has been brought to such a low point, Waheed emphasized the necessity of changing President Muizzu's administration. He stated that the country has been plunged into an abyss and insisted that a change in government is essential, adding that the current situation will not improve under this administration.
The MDP is the party that overcame fear in this country and secured relief for the Maldivian people from every hardship they faced. Waheed stated that what is currently being witnessed is the collapse of the government, and that the public will soon see the administration fall. He further noted that although illegal orders are being issued to the police today to obstruct the rights of the people, the power of the citizens will always prevail.
Furthermore, Waheed stated that the government has lost the public's support and that the people no longer have confidence in the administration.
