Voting at Fiyoaree Ballot Box Annulled After Unauthorized Opening; New Voting Date to Be Announced
The MDP Election Committee has decided to annul the ballot box in G.Dh. Fiyoaree and suspend voting for the day following a series of disturbances on the island. While polling has been halted due to the incident, the committee stated that a date for re-voting at this station will be announced at a later time.

The MDP Election Committee has decided to suspend voting in GDh. Fiyoaree for today’s internal party election to select a new chairperson. This decision follows an incident where the ballot box stationed on the island was forcibly broken open.
Voting at the polling station has been suspended following the incident.
Ibrahim Muizzu, a member of the MDP Elections Committee, stated that voting for the ballot box stationed in Fiyoaree will now be rescheduled for another day. Muizzu further explained that, according to established procedures, if a ballot box is invalidated, voting for that specific box will be conducted at a later date.
Following the unrest that broke out today, the ballot box stationed in Fiyoaree has been invalidated. A total of 84 people were registered to vote on the island.
