Only I can implement necessary policies to enhance public wealth and prosperity: Nasheed

Ukulhas, former President Nasheed asserted that he is the only leader capable of doubling the people's income, promising to achieve this through the implementation of MDP’s core policies. Highlighting that national development projects must be conducted in consultation with the public while prioritizing financial and social benefits, he also emphasized the necessity of reforming the party’s administrative approach. Consequently, Nasheed called on the public to grant him the opportunity to bring about significant transformative changes to the nation.

Former President Mohamed Nasheed has stated that he is the only individual capable of introducing and implementing the policies necessary to enhance the prosperity of the Maldivian people.
During his visit to AA. Ukulhas as part of the "Bodu Badhalu" campaign, Nasheed met with the island's residents and highlighted the rapid expansion of the guesthouse industry across the islands of Alif Alif Atoll.
Nasheed stated that approximately 30 individuals in Ukulhas currently earn a monthly income of around 100,000 Rufiyaa, emphasizing that as businesses expand, these earnings must continue to rise. He pledged that under an MDP administration, this income would be doubled within the next seven years.
However, Nasheed stated that increasing the wealth of the citizens can only be achieved by introducing and implementing those specific policies. He asserted that there is only one institution capable of carrying out this work, and that is the MDP. Nasheed further claimed that he is the only individual with the capability to execute this task and urged the public to grant him that opportunity.
I trust you will not perceive my words as an expression of arrogance. However, I must state clearly that I am capable of this task. Leading the effort alongside the MDP to transform the Maldives is a mission I am deeply passionate about. I am the person standing here with you to undertake this work. That is why I am here today. This is not a part-time commitment or anything of the sort. The capabilities and experience you have instilled in me are unique; they have not been granted to anyone else in the same way. These were not qualities given in fragments, but as a whole. It is because of this foundation that I was afforded the opportunity to rise and serve as the President of this country. Referring to the development of the Maldives, Nasheed stated that the MDP must now be managed differently, emphasizing the need for a complete overhaul of its previous administrative approach. He noted that the party has significant work ahead to ensure the prosperity of the Maldivian people and proposed that the MDP establish a dedicated project department to facilitate these efforts.
Nasheed stated that future development projects in the islands must be carried out in consultation with the local communities. He emphasized the importance of evaluating the financial and social impacts, including both the potential benefits and drawbacks, before proceeding with any project. He further noted that initiatives should be implemented in a sustainable and holistic manner to ensure maximum benefit for the people. Nasheed added that achieving this vision would only be possible if the MDP moves forward under his leadership.
