Former President Mohamed Nasheed has stated that he does not wish for even a single member to leave the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).

As Nasheed contests for the position of MDP Chairperson, he continues to spearhead his "Bodu Badhalu" (Great Change) campaign across the Maldives.

In a video shared on X from ADh. Maamigili on Wednesday, Nasheed stated that the MDP does not wish to lose a single member and expressed his hope for as many people as possible to join the party. He further noted that efforts are underway to increase the party's membership to 100,000 before the end of this year.

I would never wish for even a single member to leave the MDP. My desire is for as many people as possible to join the party. My goal and vision are to maintain a membership of over 100,000 within the MDP. God willing, our membership will grow significantly during and after this election, surpassing the 100,000 mark. I do not wish for any member to leave the MDP for any reason whatsoever.
